BRENHAM’S SUTTON NAMED DENVER BRONCOS CAPTAIN FOR 2025

The Denver Broncos have named former Brenham Cub standout WR Courtland Sutton as one of their eight team captains for the 2025 season, which begins for them on Sunday.
This is the fifth straight year that Sutton has been chosen for the honor.
Sutton is in his eighth season with Denver since they drafted him out of SMU in 2018.
Last year, he posted a career high 81 catches for the Broncos. Sutton also had 1,081 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Both of those totals were the second best of his career in those categories.
In high school, Sutton played football, basketball, and baseball for the Brenham Cubs.
He and the Broncos begin their season at home against the Tennessee Titans. The opening kickoff is scheduled for 3:05pm.
