‘THE FOREIGNER’ TO OPEN UNITY THEATRE’S NEW SEASON

Unity Theatre in Brenham will soon host its first show of the 2025-26 season, presenting a fast-paced comedy where a made-up language barrier results in a humorous chain of events.

“The Foreigner” by Larry Shue will play on Unity’s Main Stage October 2 – 19.

When British demolition expert Froggy brings his painfully shy friend Charlie to a Georgia fishing lodge, he claims Charlie is a foreigner who speaks no English—just to spare him from awkward conversations.  But Charlie actually understands everything and soon overhears dark secrets, shady plots, and romantic entanglements the others think are safe to share.

Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.  The special preview performance on October 2nd will have a talk back with the cast, where audience members can hear stories and insights from the production.

Tickets go on sale in stages, beginning with Circle Member reservations today (Monday), subscriber reservations on September 15th and public sales on September 22nd.  Tickets are $30, while admission for the October 2nd preview is $24, and any seats not filled 15 minutes before curtain are $15.
