NINE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Nine people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st and 335th District Court before Judge John Winkelmann.
39-year-old Jinne Lynn Carter of Austin, sentenced to 10 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams, a third degree felony.
34-year-old Blake Richard Blundell of Brenham, sentenced to 4 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams, a third degree felony. Blundell was also sentenced to 188 days in the Washington County Jail for Abandoning/Endangering a Child, a third degree felony.
29-year-old Joaquin Santos Echeverria of Chappell Hill, probation adjudicated and sentenced to 4 years in prison for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath/Circulation, a third degree felony. Echeverria was also sentenced to 4 years in prison for Evading Arrest with a Vehicle and Tampering with Physical Evidence, both third degree felonies. Additionally, he was sentenced to 577 days in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony.
43-year-old Damien Marquet Palmer of San Antonio, probation revoked and sentenced to 12 months in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram, a state jail felony. Palmer was also fined $500 and ordered to pay $140.75 in restitution.
58-year-old Charles Brandiberg of Brenham, sentenced to 6 years’ probation for Theft of Property Less Than $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions, a second degree felony. Brandiberg must also pay a $500 fine and complete 100 hours of community service.
21-year-old Homero Balderas Jr. of Brenham, sentenced to 5 years’ deferred adjudication for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath/Circulation, a third degree felony. Balderas was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and $100 family violence fee, perform 100 hours of community service and complete a batterers intervention program.
43-year-old Dietric Aundra Ford of Brenham, sentenced to 4 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Evading Arrest with a Vehicle, a third degree felony. Ford must also pay a $500 fine and perform 100 hours of community service.
28-year-old Dante Raeshawn Zeigler of Killeen, sentenced to 3 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of Marijuana 4oz. – 5lbs, a state jail felony. Zeigler was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
27-year-old Khennadie Bayelor Preuss of Brenham, sentenced to 2 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member, a Class A misdemeanor. Preuss was also ordered to pay a $500 fine, perform 40 hours of community service and complete a batterers intervention program.
