CUBETTE VOLLEYBALL LOSES TO MONTGOMERY

After getting a win over Giddings on Tuesday, the Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team returned to District 17-5A play on Friday night, but fell to the Montgomery Lady Bears.

Montgomery won the match in three straight sets: 25-16, 25-23, 25-13.

Antyiahna Lang led Brenham with 12 kills. Maggie Thibodeaux was second on the team with seven kills. Brinley Benson dished out 11 assists, while Claire Huff added nine assists. Logan Hayslip led the defense with 14 digs, while Zoe Zwerneman chipped in with 10 digs.

The Cubettes (20-13, 0-3) will return home to face Huntsville on Tuesday night at 6pm at the Brenham High School Gym. Huntsville is coming off of a three-set loss to College Station.
