TARA ROYER STEELE LAUNCHES BOOK TOUR FOR ‘KEEP YOUR FORK, THERE’S PIE’

The local pie queen, Tara Royer Steele, is holding a tour to mark the release of her new book that’s all about pie.

“Keep your Fork, There’s Pie” features 75 pie, dessert and breakfast recipes.  Included are a mix of sweet and savory recipes from Royer Steele, the founder of Royers Pie Haven in Round Top and The Bake Shop at All Things Acres in Brenham.

Royer Steele says the book also includes devotionals and stories about each recipe.

For Royer Steele, she says her favorite remains the Sweet N’ Salty pie, but she has a soft spot for the peanut butter pie with oat topping and raspberry filling.

After launching her tour in Rockwall on Friday, Royer Steele will be in Brenham tomorrow (Sunday) at Brenham’s First Baptist Church from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday at Tres Chic Boutique from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  In October, she will have stops in Round Top, Navasota, Flatonia, Houston, Katy, Waco, Clifton, Kaufman and Lake Jackson.

Each event will have books for sale and book signings, along with pie.  A launch party will be held at Royers Pie Haven on Friday, October 10th at 4 p.m. with a Washington County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting, live music with Jack Carr, and special gifts and treats.

The book is available for pre-order on Amazon and will also be offered through other outlets.  Anyone who pre-orders before October 7th can receive a bonus recipe not in the book and be entered to win a one-year subscription to Royers Pie Haven’s Pie of the Month Club.
