BRENHAM FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND FOR GAS ODOR, SMOKE DETECTOR ISSUES

The Brenham Fire Department was called out twice on Monday and once early this (Tuesday) morning.

Approaching 9:30 a.m. Monday, firefighters and the City of Brenham Gas Department were dispatched to a gas odor at a home in the 500 block of Atlow Drive.  After checking the area for a leak or smell, the fire department was released from the scene.

Around 10:30 p.m., units responded to a reported vehicle fire in the 2300 block of South Day Street.  No vehicle fire was found upon making location.  Personnel checked the vehicle before turning it over to the owner.

A few minutes after 4:45 a.m. today, BFD members went out to 807 West Second Street, where they found issues with a smoke detector.  They advised to have maintenance come out to take care of the detector.
