BRENHAM CROSS COUNTRY ENDS SEASON AT DISTRICT MEET

The Brenham Cub and Cubette Cross Country Teams saw their seasons come to an end on Thursday at the District 17-5A Meet in College Station.

Both teams finished in sixth place in their respective divisions.

On the Boys' side, the top finishers were College Station in first, A&M Consolidated in second, and Montgomery was in third.

They will move on to the Regional Meet on October 20 at Kate Barr Ross Memorial Park in Huntsville.

Jonah Harris of Montgomery was the top finisher with a time of 16:08.40.

Individually for the Cubs, the top finisher was Jayden Jackson with a time of 18:59.20. Other times for the Brenham runners were:

Corbin Schulens - 19:42.90

Avrum Gamboa - 19:49.60

Jake Zapata - 19:51.70

Tearsyn McBride - 20:45.50

Hayden Hatfield - 23:32.00

Isaac Aguilar - 24:39.20

On the Girls' Side, the three teams advancing to the Regional Meet on October 20 in Huntsville will be

1.) A&M Consolidated, 2.) Montgomery, and 3.) College Station.

The top individual female finisher was Rowen Skinner of A&M Consolidated with a time of 17:52.00

For the Cubettes, the lead runner was Kristin Velazquez Romero with a time of 21:39.10.
