LA GRANGE PREPARING FOR HERITAGE FEST AND MUZIKY THIS WEEKEND
The City of La Grange will be honoring its Czech roots this weekend with the annual Heritage Fest and Muziky.
The event is being held Friday and Saturday at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center located at 250 West Fairgrounds Lane.
Admission to the Heritage Fest and Muziky is free of charge.
On Friday, they will have “Oktoberfest on the Deck” from 4:30-10pm. The menu features their famous homemade chicken and dumplings and Kolace.
They are also going to have live music from the Dujka Brothers from 6-9:30pm.
Saturday’s activities include an antique tractor and car show, wagon rides, village tours, demonstrations, arts and crafts, as well as children’s activities.
There will be live music from Lavaca County Line, Mark Halata and Texavia, and the Vintage Drafts from 10am-5:30pm.
The Saturday menu features BBQ brisket on a bun, Patek’s Shiner Smokehouse Sausage, and Weikel’s Kolace. Guests can also visit the Hospoda Beer Garden.
Later that evening in the Amphitheater, they will celebrate 55 years of the Red Ravens from 7pm-9:30pm. Concert tickets are $15 each.
The Heritage Fest and Muziky closes with a Fireworks Finale at 9:30pm.
