BURTON VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS LEON IN WARMUP MATCH 3-1

The #2 Ranked Burton Lady Panther Volleyball Team kept it going last (Tuesday) night with a 3-1 victory over the #10 ranked Leon Lady Cougars in a warmup match for the playoffs.

Burton won the first two sets 25-20 and 25-17. Leon won the third set 25-15. However, the Lady Panthers won the fourth set 25-23 to take the match.

Lexi Broesche led Burton with nine kills and three aces, and she was second on the night with ten digs. Kinsey Lunbeck added nine kills of her own along with five blocks. Laci Broesche dished out 21 assists, while Adison Harmel chipped in with 14. Paige Fritsch led the defense with 20 digs.

The Lady Panthers have now won their last ten matches in a row, and have increased their record to 36-9 on the season.

Next up, Burton will open up the playoffs tomorrow (Thursday) night with a bi-district match against McDade. First serve is scheduled for 7:30pm in Caldwell. Darrell Kieke and I will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 7:05pm on the KWHI.com Sports Alternate Feed.
