Four Brenham FFA Members recently had their hard work and dedication rewarded with their American FFA Degrees.

The recipients were Madison Moran, daughter of David and Christy Moran, Chasidy Nowicki, daughter of Dathan and Jenny Nowicki, Laci Strack, daughter of Chris and Kelly Strack, and Kaylin Jacobs, daughter of Allen and Melanie Jacobs.

The American FFA degree is the highest honor awarded to FFA members who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to FFA and made significant accomplishments in their Supervised Agricultural Experiences.

Fewer than one percent of FFA members annually enjoy this honor.

As the highest degree achievable in the National FFA Organization, the American FFA Degree shows an FFA member's dedication to his or her chapter and state FFA association.

It demonstrates the effort FFA members apply toward their supervised agricultural experience and the outstanding leadership abilities and community involvement they exhibited through their FFA career.

American FFA Degree recipients show promise for the future and have gone above and beyond to achieve excellence.

Over 5,100 students from across America were bestowed the degree at the 98th National FFA Convention recently held in Indianapolis, Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium.

These students thanked the FFA Agricultural Science instructors at Brenham High School lead by CTE Director Travis Gonzales to achieve this honor.
