ANNUAL GINGERBREAD HOUSE AUCTION COMING TO THE SENIOR CENTER
Washington County Healthy Living is inviting the public kick off the Holidays with “Joy and Gingerbread.”
Their annual Gingerbread House Auction is being held Tuesday, November 18, with the doors opening at 5:30pm and the auction starting at 6:30pm at the Margaret E. Blizzard Senior Activity Center.
For those planning to participate, they do have some rules. All exposed elements on houses must be edible, each house must be on a board no larger than 12 inches by 14 inches, and completed gingerbread houses must be delivered to the Senior Center tomorrow (Thursday) between 9am and 4pm.
Once submitted, the houses become property of Washington County Healthy Living, and will be auctioned off.
Categories will include Kindergarten-6th Grade, 7th-12th grades, 18 Years and Older, and Professionals.
The live auction is being conducted by Roger Chambers, and the Senior Center Staff is providing refreshments.
All proceeds from the auction go to benefit the Margaret E. Blizzard Center.
