CUBETTE BASKETBALL DEFEATS MADISONVILLE 56-51

The Brenham Cubette Basketball Team improved their record to 3-1 on the season by defeating Madisonville 56-51 last (Tuesday) night.

Brenham jumped out to an early 17-10 lead in the first quarter. However, Madisonville outscored the Cubettes 15-14 in the second quarter. Brenham still led at halftime 31-24.

The Lady Mustangs also finished the third quarter by outscoring the Cubettes 13-11, which gave Brenham a 42-38 lead.

The Cubettes would then outscore Madisonville 14-13 in the fourth quarter to win the game 56-51.

Antyiahna Lang led the way with 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Brenham also got 13 points from Janiah Mathis, while Aby Adams had 11 points and six steals.

Next up, the Cubettes will be traveling to San Antonio for the Cornerstone Christian Classic, which runs Thursday-Saturday.

On Thursday, Brenham is scheduled to play Los Fresnos at noon, followed by Canyon Lake at 3pm.
