BRENHAM FD RESPONDS TO GAS ODOR, FIRE ALARMS
The Brenham Fire Department responded to two calls on Monday and one early this (Tuesday) morning.
At 7:30 a.m. Monday, firefighters were dispatched to Brenham Elementary School, 1000 West Blue Bell Road, for a gas odor or leak. They stood by until the City of Brenham Gas Department made location before returning to service.
Shortly after 7:45 p.m., BFD personnel were called out to the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South, for a fire alarm. Upon arrival, they determined it was a false alarm.
Around 1 a.m. today, units responded to another fire alarm, this one at a residence in the 300 block of Clayton Drive. They found bad batteries in the smoke detector and changed out the batteries.
