BRENHAM POLICE REPORT WEEKEND ARRESTS FOR THEFT, POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, NO LICENSE
Brenham police reported four arrests between Friday and Sunday.
Shortly after 2:15 p.m. Friday, K-9 Sergeant Jimmy Ha and Corporal James Catchings responded to the 300 block of North Austin Parkway in reference to a theft. Investigation resulted in the arrest of 50-year-old Brenda Bongiorno of Brenham, who was taken into custody for Theft of Property $100 - $750.
Close to 9:45 p.m., Officer Rosa Salinas conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation near the 300 block of North Austin Parkway. Upon further investigation, police determined that the driver and front seat passenger were in possession of narcotics. 17-year-old Parker Shugart of Brenham and 17-year-old Kalvin Peterson of Brenham were taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail. Shugart was booked for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram. Peterson was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 4-400 Grams and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
A few minutes past 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Officer Darrell Nunn Jr. conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of 32-year-old Uriel Hernandez of Brenham. According to police, Hernandez had an outstanding warrant for No Driver’s License out of Municipal Court. Hernandez was booked at the Washington County Jail without incident.
