BURTON SOFTBALL FINISHES NAVASOTA TOURNAMENT WITH A LOSS TO ANDERSON-SHIRO
After a couple of big wins on Friday, the Burton Lady Panther Softball Team finished Navasota Tournament with an 13-1 loss to Anderson-Shiro on a Saturday.
The Lady Owls got on the board with a pair of runs in the top of the first inning to take an early 2-0 lead.
Burton cut the lead in half with a run in the bottom of the first. Laci Broesche reached on a single, stole second, and moved to third on a groundout.
Paige Fritsch walked, and then on a double steal, Broesche scored what would turn to be Burton's only run.
Anderson-Shiro added two runs in the second, one in the third, and eight in the fourth to put the game away.
Next up, for the Lady Panthers, they will be taking part in the Franklin Tournament, which starts on Thursday.
