BRENHAM GOLF COMPETES IN THE REGIONAL PREVIEW
The Brenham High School Golf Teams took part in the Regional Preview Tournament that was held Wednesday and Thursday at the Golf Club at Margaritaville Lake Resort in Conroe.
The Cubettes competed in the Girls Tournament, which was held on Wednesday, and came away with a seventh place finish. They had a team score of 381.
Raylea Kunkel (So.) was the top individual golfer for Brenham. She finished in sixth place overall by shooting an 82.
Caroline Sawyer (So.) was second on the Cubettes finishing at 20th overall by shooting a 93.
Other Brenham scores were Sofia Workman (Sr.) with a 95, Addison Siemsglusz (So.) with a 111, and Layla Sadler (So.) with a 137.
Meanwhile, the Cubs competed in the Boys Tournament on Thursday, and finished second overall. They finished with a team score of 311, which was three strokes behind the tournament winner A&M Consolidated.
Luke Alford (So.) led Brenham with a 75, which was good for fourth place overall individually. Caleb Klussman (Jr.) also had a top ten finish. He shot a 76, which was good for sixth place.
Rounding out the Cub scores were Holton Gillentine (So.) with a 79, Max Felder (Fr.) with an 81, and Joaquin Terry (Fr.) with an 89.
Brenham also sent a second team to the tournament, and they finished 11th overall.
Their top individual golfer was Bryce Siemsglusz (So.) with an 85.

Brenham also had two more golfers participate in the tournament. Charlie Kenjura (Jr.) shot a 105, and Trey Austin finished with a 112.
