Approaching 9 a.m., units were dispatched to West Chauncy Street and Key Street for a report of a gas smell outside. Just past 6:30 p.m., members of the Brenham Fire Department and Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department were called out to the 4200 block of Nicholson Lake Road for a report of two children accidentally locked inside a camper. They found two small children locked inside the camper. Units were able to open a window of the camper to gain access, and a firefighter crawled through and unlocked the door.
At 7:15 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire alarm at Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street. Nothing was showing from the exterior of the building. The department found that a resident had accidentally pulled the fire alarm, so the alarm was reset.
