WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD TO HOLD BUDGET WORKSHOP

  

The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors will hold its first workshop on Tuesday for the 2026-27 budget cycle.

The appraisal district’s proposed budget is $2,007,660, an increase of $104,050 from the current budget.  The increase is made up of an additional $103,000 in personnel costs, $29,900 in professional and contracted services, and $1,000 in supplies and materials.  However, the proposed budget also calls for $29,600 less in capital outlay and $250 less in other operating costs. 

Following the workshop, board members will look to set the date, time and location for a public hearing on the budget.  The date being considered for the public hearing is Tuesday, April 28th at 10 a.m.

Other business will include action on 2025-26 budget transfers and standard monthly reports.

The board will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the appraisal district office in Brenham at 1301 Niebuhr Street.
