BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FOR ASSAULT WARRANTS, CRIMINAL TRESPASS
Brenham police reported two arrests on Wednesday, one on assault warrants and another for criminal trespass.
Just before 2 p.m., Officer Rosa Salinas observed a subject known to have outstanding warrants near the 1800 block of South Market Street. Once the warrants were confirmed, 41-year-old Leonard Curtis Crawford Jr. of Brenham was taken into custody for two warrants out of Washington County for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member and Assault Intentionally/Recklessly Impeding Breath/Circulation to a Family Member. Crawford was transported to the Washington County Jail.
Close to 8:15 p.m., Corporal James Catchings was dispatched to the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to criminal trespass. According to police, investigation revealed that 39-year-old Richard Butterworth of Holiday Lakes was on location at a business and currently had an active criminal trespass warning for the business. Butterworth was placed into custody for Criminal Trespass and booked at the Washington County Jail.
