BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO TWO CALLS ON FRIDAY

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to two calls during the day on Friday.

The first call came in at 1:45pm. BFD personnel were dispatched to the 1900 Block of Northview Circle for a reported gas odor.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find nothing showing from the exterior of the building. They checked for gas readings both inside and outside the home, and found nothing, so they returned to service.

The second call came in just after 7:30pm. Brenham Firefighters were dispatched to the 900 Block of Highway 290 East for a reported transportation incident.

A BFD unit arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle that ran over a curb, and became stuck.  Fluid from under the vehicle turned out to be coming from a sprinkler that was hit.

No action was taken by BFD personnel, and they returned to service.
