LEE COUNTY FAIR PARADE COMING UP THIS SATURDAY

The annual Lee County Fair Parade is coming up this Saturday morning in Giddings.
The parade is a free, family-friendly event that includes floats, classic cars, music, and candy.
Like last year, organizers decided to move the Fair Parade up a week early so that those that are involved in the Armed Forces ceremony and other Fair events that are taking place on the following Saturday, May 16, can participate.
Check-in for the parade is this coming Saturday at 8am at the intersection of East Calvert Street and North Manse Street. The theme is “Viva Las Vegas.”
Judging begins at 9:15am that morning with cash prizes being awarded to the top three entries.
The parade itself will begin at 10:30am, rain or shine, and will make its way through Veteran’s Park in Giddings.
If you would like to participate in the parade, there is still time. You can register on-line by going to www.leecountyfairtx.com.
