ASSAULT, POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE AMONG CHARGES FOR 11 ARRESTED OVER WEEKEND
Brenham police reported a busy weekend of arrests, with 11 people booked between Friday and Sunday.
Shortly after 2:15 p.m. Friday, Officers Trinten Rolling and Eric Crosby responded to the 400 block of Peabody Street in reference to a disturbance. According to police, 34-year-old Rebecca Gouldson of Brenham and 60-year-old James Moore of Brenham were reportedly in a physical altercation with each other. With no clear primary aggressor, both individuals were taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where they were both charged with Assault Family Violence.
Just before midnight, Sergeant Jose Perez responded to the 600 block of East Academy Street in reference to a noise complaint. Upon arrival, police say their investigation revealed that 21-year-old Dezaray Burns of La Grange showed to be highly intoxicated. Burns was placed into custody for Public Intoxication and taken to the Washington County Jail.
A few minutes past 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Officer Brayten Rolling responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of South Baylor Street. After investigation, one of the subjects on scene, 25-year-old Parker Wayne McDonald of Bellville was placed into custody for an active warrant out of Austin County for Failure to Appear – Burglary. McDonald was transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
Around 7:30 a.m., Officers Trinten Rolling, Eric Crosby and Mateo Guillen performed a warrant service in the 1200 block of Burleson Street. Police say 53-year-old Christopher Telford of Brenham showed to have two active warrants out of Washington County District Court for Assault Intentionally/Recklessly Impeding Breath/Circulation to a Family Member and Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member. Telford was placed into custody for the warrants and taken to the Washington County Jail.
Close to 9:45 p.m., Officer Brayten Rolling and Officer Navone Gurley were dispatched to the 2200 block of South Market Street in reference to a disturbance. After further investigation, 44-year-old Bridget Stackhouse of Brenham was placed into custody for Assault Family Violence and Terroristic Threat of a Family/Household Member. Stackhouse was booked without incident at the Washington County Jail.
At 10:15 p.m., Sergeant Perez responded to the 200 block of Shepard Lane. After further investigation, 40-year-old Mayra Flores of Brenham was placed into custody for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
Nearing 12:15 a.m. Sunday, Officer Brayten Rolling conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street. According to police, a probable cause search revealed that both the driver and passenger were in possession of THC vapes. 20-year-old Noelle Albus of Brenham and 18-year-old Madeleine Holtkamp of Brenham were placed into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail. Holtkamp was booked in for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 Grams and Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility, while Albus was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram.
At noon, Officer Guillen responded to the 1600 block of Highway 105 for a disturbance. After further investigation, 28-year-old Shane Daniels of Burton was placed into custody for Assault Family Violence and an active capias pro fine warrant out of Washington County for Simple Assault. Daniels was taken to the Washington County Jail without incident.
Just past 10 p.m., Sergeant Perez conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of South Day Street. Upon contact with the driver, police say they discovered that she had an active warrant out of City of Brenham Municipal Court for Driving While License Invalid. 48-year-old Kennisha Tatum of Brenham was placed into custody for the active warrant and taken to the Washington County Jail for booking.
