BRENHAM ISD NAMES TEACHER, PARAPROFESSIONAL, SUBSTITUTE OF YEAR

  

Brenham ISD has announced the winners of the 2025-26 outstanding staff awards. 

Brenham ISD’s Teacher of the Year is Mollie Grote, who taught at Alton Elementary School and served in Brenham ISD for 13 years.  Grote passed away in December after a battle with cancer.

The Paraprofessional of the Year is Leticia “Letty” Bustos.  Bustos works at Brenham Middle School and has served eight years in Brenham ISD.

The district has also named its Substitute of the Year, Lois McNair, who has taught in Brenham ISD for decades. 

In addition to the districtwide honors, Brenham ISD revealed the winners of the teacher and paraprofessional awards for individual campuses.  They include:
