JUNETEENTH GRIOT COMING TO THE BRENHAM HERITAGE MUSEUM ON JUNE 28

The Brenham Heritage Museum is holding a special Juneteenth Griot program next week.

Kijana Wiseman will be making a presentation on Sunday, June 28, from 2-4pm at the Museum, which is located at 105 South Market Street.

A Griot (pronounced Gree-Yot) is a West African historian, storyteller, musician, and poet, who preserves culture and history through spoken word and song.

Wiseman has performed in 23 countries across three continents. She will be bringing the history and traditions of Juneteenth to life with her performance.

The event is free of charge, however, they do ask that you register in advance, because seating is limited.

For more information, you can go to the Brenham Heritage Museum's Facebook Page, or visit their website at www.bhmtexas.org.
