WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS SELECT BARTENDING VENDOR FOR FOURTH OF JULY EVENT
Washington County Commissioners approved an agreement today (Wednesday) with an alcohol and bartending vendor for the county’s upcoming Fourth of July celebration, Stars Over Washington County.
Texas Toast LLC out of Burton was chosen to provide services for the event.
Expo Director Harrison Williams told KWHI after the meeting that the vendor will sell beer, alcoholic seltzers and teas, as well as non-alcoholic beers. He said at the meeting that, per the request of the event’s safety team, no hard liquor or mixed drinks will be served. Tokens and wristbands will be sold to attendees 21 and over.
Williams said the county will receive 20 percent of the vendor’s gross revenue. Texas Toast will also handle all of the liquor liability insurance, taking the responsibility off of the county.
The Stars Over Washington County celebration will feature live music from Escape – A Tribute to Journey, shopping at food trucks and vendors, a touch-a-truck experience for the kids, and a fireworks display.
