WATER PLANT WORK LEADS BRENHAM BUILDING PERMITS IN JUNE
Work on the City of Brenham’s water infrastructure was the main driver in a large month of June for building permits.

The top permit of the month was taken out by the city for rehabilitating and expanding its water treatment plant at 1105 South Austin Street, in the amount of $28,297,500. Work is contracted to Dudley Construction.
Several other notable permits were issued last month, including one for $730,000 issued to Nelson Sosa to build a new multi-family apartment building at 411 Church Street.
Collier Construction took out a $688,923 permit for the public infrastructure for the third phase of the Wilkins Valley subdivision site development at 1402 West Jefferson Street. Sage Longwood Holdings was granted a $507,152 permit to replace the roof on its commercial building at 1901 Longwood Drive. Stanpac USA was issued a permit worth $413,300 to add two storage silos at its location at 801 Mangrum Street.
Five new homes were permitted in June worth $990,984. So far this year, 65 homes have received permits for $11,211,853.
In all, the city issued 29 permits in June for $32,624,999. In comparison, last June had 122 permits on $22,809,485.
Halfway through the year, the city has granted 195 permits totaling $97,459,950. Through June 2025, 300 permits had been issued for $58,366,169.
