SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS WASHINGTON MAN ON MARIJUANA, LICENSE CHARGES

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest on Thursday on marijuana and license charges.

Nearing 11:15 p.m., Deputy Jacob Faske conducted a traffic stop in the 20500 block of Highway 105 for a defective stop lamp.

The sheriff’s office detected a strong odor of marijuana upon making contact with the vehicle and reported finding marijuana during a probable cause search.

The driver, 37-year-old Jackie Lanier Johnson of Washington, was also found to have an active warrant.

Johnson was transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz., Driving While License Invalid Enhanced and No Driver’s License.
