HIGH SCHOOL NATION TOUR COMING TO BRENHAM

A national music and arts tour is coming to Brenham High School.

The High School Nation Tour has selected Brenham High School as one of only 60 schools in the country to visit this fall.  Next Monday, October 30th, students in Brenham’s Junior High and High School will get to experience the travelling music and arts festival.  This one of a kind, interactive opportunity will be at the High School campus from 11 to 1 Monday.  High School Nation connects students with industry professionals in the music and arts world with hands-on experiences.  It features educational activities, interactive booths, live music and giveaways.

Brenham students from 7th through 12th grade will come together Monday at the High School for the event.  The tour features zones from all creative outlets, including music, media, art, style, dance and journalism.  Each zone partners with a college in that respective field to allow students to understand that a focused education on the arts can lead to many potential careers in the future.  Students will get to take drum lessons, learn how to DJ, paint on canvas, tie-dye tee shirts, design their own hats, use green screen animation, make their own bracelets, mix live stage sound, interview artists and more.  One of the most memorable parts of the assembly is the opportunity for thousands of teens to experience their first live concert with their peers in a safe and secure environment.
