BROKEN POWER POLE CAUSES OVER 200 TO LOSE POWER NEAR CALDWELL, BASTROP COUNTIES

  

Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative has restored power to over 200 members along the Bastrop-Caldwell county line, following an outage caused by a truck hitting a power pole on Tuesday.

An oilfield truck struck and broke a power pole near the intersection of FM 86 and Pettytown Road, which knocked out power to 92 members at 9:45 a.m.

According to Public Affairs Manager Will Holford, the outage took crews longer to repair than initially expected.  Crews had to take an additional 155 members out of power around 11:30 a.m. to replace the pole.

Repairs were completed and power was returned to all members by 1:30 p.m.
