WEBSITE RANKS BLINN AMONG NATION’S BEST COMMUNITY COLLEGES

Blinn College has been named one of the best community colleges in the nation.

Learn.org ranked Blinn No. 2 in the State of Texas and No. 20 in the nation on its list, pointing to Blinn’s high academic transfer rate, strong alumni network, and variety of student services.

Blinn ranks among the best two-year college in the state for students seeking to transfer to a four-year university.  According to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Blinn’s academic transfer rate of 45.4 percent ranks No. 1 among all Texas community colleges and almost doubles the state-wide average of 23.1 percent.

In addition to its numerous transfer agreements, Blinn has developed co-enrollment programs such as the Texas A&M-Blinn TEAM Program, the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Bryan, and the Texas A&M Engineering Academy at Blinn-Brenham.

Blinn also is a partner in The Texas A&M University System’s RELLIS Academic Alliance, which creates pathways for students to earn bachelor’s degrees in related fields from the A&M System regional universities located at the RELLIS Campus.

Current Blinn students can apply for the May Minimester and the Summer I, Summer II, and Fall semesters beginning Monday, April 1.  Registration for all students opens Wednesday, April 10.
