The Brenham Board of Adjustment will meet Monday to address a request from Circle K, who is looking to redevelop its property on Highway 105 and Blue Bell Road.

Circle K currently owns the property that houses the Valero station.  It is planning to demolish the existing improvements and redevelop the property in a new arrangement, with more gas pumps.

The request is for a five-foot variance to the rear yard setback requirement, to allow the new convenience store to be located five feet from the rear property line.  The typical requirement is ten feet.  Staff are recommending approval of the requested variance.

The board will also look at a special exception request from MC Property Holdings for property at 1103 East Main Street.  Dara Childs, the current property owner, is wanting to develop this tract of land with a single-family detached residence.

Childs is asking for a 20-foot front yard setback where a minimum of 25 feet is typically required for a single family residence.  Staff have reviewed the request and recommend approval.

The board will meet Monday afternoon at 5:15 p.m., at City Hall.
