The Brenham ISD Education Foundation has received an additional $2,700 in donations from local corporate sponsors, in support of the foundation’s Mini-Grant Program.

The foundation received $2,200 from Mattrezzz Guys, by recommendation of store owners Anthony and Erika Jasinski.  The donation was generated through a store campaign specifically designed in support of the foundation.

An additional $500 was donated by ACU of Texas’ Brenham Branch, by recommendation of Branch Manager Wendy Frazier.

The Mini-Grant Program allows the foundation to provide funding for educational supplies, projects, and activities that are not within the school district’s budget.  The foundation has received over $200,000 in requests this year by Brenham ISD teachers.

The ability to fund the mini-grant requests has been made possible by staff members contributing a portion of their paycheck each month, along with direct involvement and support from local businesses and community foundations.

The Brenham ISD Education Foundation appreciates all partners who have committed to this year’s program, and says it is determined to increase its support to all of the teachers in the school district.

Mini-Grant awards will be distributed in the latter part of October.  To learn more, or to contribute, visit www.brenhamisd.net/page/edfound.home.
