BAYLOR REQUIRING STUDENTS, FACULTY, STAFF TO TEST NEGATIVE FOR COVID-19 BEFORE RETURNING TO CAMPUS IN FALL

Students, faculty and staff preparing to head back to Baylor University this fall will be required to test negative for COVID-19 before returning to campus.

Thursday, the university announced it will be mailing mandatory COVID-19 test kits to all students, faculty and staff.

University President Linda Livingstone said these tests are one of several preventative strategies the university is implementing in order to ensure “a successful on-campus start and completion of the fall semester”.

The university plans to release more information about the testing protocol next week.

Livingstone encouraged students to not “undertake risky behavior” such as not wearing face coverings or gathering in large groups.
