BRENHAM ARTIST, AUTHOR APPEARS IN ‘TEXAS STORYTELLERS’ PODCAST

A Brenham artist and author was recently featured in a podcast that talks with writers in various parts of Texas.
Lloyd Mays visited with Dixie Cooper of the Woodlands Online podcast, “Texas Storytellers,” where he discussed his book, “I Came From Hog Branch.” The book recounts Mays’ memories of growing up in Brenham through a collection of poems and paintings.
In the podcast, Mays went into the background of some of the poems and artwork included in the book, and described his childhood in the 1960’s.
Mays’ book is available at The Book Nook, the Brenham/Washington County Visitor Center, and at the Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site gift shop.
