BLUEBONNET ELECTRIC STOPS ROLLING OUTAGES

Bluebonnet Electric announced this morning (Thursday) that they have stopped the rolling outages for now.

Bluebonnet Public Affairs Manager Will Holford said the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has stopped requiring Bluebonnet to reduce energy demand, so the cooperative was able to end rotating outages at about midnight.

The cooperative continues to monitor the weather and grid conditions, and requests that customers continue to conserve power by lowering their thermostats to 65 degrees and avoid using major appliances.  If you are a Bluebonnet Electric customer, and do not have power, call their outage number at 800-949-4414.

  1. Thank you, Bluebonnet for all ur hard work during this “Texas storm of the Centry”. We can’t have everything all the time, but remember our fore-fathers….they didn’t have modern conventiences (sp.?). and they got thru. We are all STRONG AMERICANS, remember this!! God will provide. Stay Strong!!!!

    1. We are having more of these storms. Hurricane season is around the corner and who knows what it will bring. Our weather is becoming crazier and deadlier every year. We should be more prepared than this going forward.
