TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED THURSDAY ON DWI CHARGES

  

Two people were arrested in separate incidents Thursday evening on DWI charges.

Brenham Police report that Thursday evening at 8:40, Officers were dispatched to the intersection of West Main Street and Burleson Street in reference to a crash with entrapment. Officers made contact with both parties involved and the driver and passenger of one of the vehicles were flown to a higher level of care facility due to injuries sustained.  Their condition is unknown.  The driver of the other vehicle was identified as Xavier Jeremiah Angel Martinez, 20 of Brenham. A Standardized Field Sobriety Test was conducted and he was ultimately booked into Washington County Jail for Driving Under The Influence for a person under 21 years of age. The investigation is still ongoing.

Then at 11:30 PM, Officers responded to the 500 block of Highway 290 West, in reference to an Intoxicated Person. Investigation revealed, that Dana Elizabeth Babineaux, 47 of Houston, was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated 2nd offence and for two active warrants out of Harris County Sheriff’s Office for Driving While Intoxicated. Babineaux was transported to the Washington County Jail where she was booked in and released to Jail Staff.
