VELOCITY CHURCH HOSTING “AT THE MOVIES” SUMMER SERIES
Velocity Church in Brenham is hosting a new six-week summer series entitled, “At the Movies.”
The series will run every Sunday morning from July 10th thru August 14th at 10:15am at the Westwood Cinema 6 Theater.
According to the Velocity Church’s website, Jesus used stories to convey the message of the Bible, and they like to use movies to do the same thing.
During their “At the Movies” series, they will be exploring themes and meanings behind some of Hollywood’s biggest hits to use as illustrations for their weekly teachings.
The series starts on July 10 with Jurassic World, followed by Cinderella Man on July 17th, Toy Story 3 on July 24th, Star Wars: A New Hope on July 31st, The Shack on August 7th, and the first Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movie on August 14th.
Sodas and popcorn will be provided.
