RADNEY FOSTER AND DARDEN SMITH TO PERFORM AT THE BARNHILL CENTER

Two of Texas’ most renowned singers/songwriters will be appearing together at the Historic Simon Theatre’s Barnhill Center in Brenham.
Radney Foster and Darden Smith take the stage on Saturday, November 5th at 7pm.
Barnhill Center producer Sharon Brass said, “These two friends enjoy performing together, but it’s the audience that receives the most pleasure. Some of their stories are inspiring and others are just plain fun. It doesn’t matter if a story is spoken or put to music, it is all equally entertaining.”
Foster has been playing music and writing songs since he was a child growing up in Del Rio. He moved to Nashville during his college years, and was half of the duo Foster & Lloyd.
He later began his solo career in 1992 and his album “Del Rio, TX 1959” produced four Top 40 hits. The show at the Barnhill Center is part of the 30th anniversary celebration of that album.
Darden Smith grew up in Brenham and now resides in Austin. He began writing songs at age 10, and started recording in 1986.
Over his 36-year career, he released sixteen critically-acclaimed albums with singles charting in both the Country and Pop categories. His most recent album, “Western Skies,” was released back on March 25, along with a companion book of the same name.
