PUBLIC HEARING ON WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BUDGET SET FOR APRIL 25

The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors held another workshop on Tuesday to further discuss the appraisal district budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

A public hearing was set for April 25th at 10 a.m. for the budget, which is proposed at $1,632,220.  That is up $109,220 from the previous adopted budget.

According to Chief Appraiser Dyann White, the higher amount comes from the addition of an appraisal clerk position, budgeting for potential raises, and adding contracts for sales reports and digital library for permanent records.

Also on Tuesday, the board hired the Armstrong & Armstrong law firm to provide legal counsel to the Washington County Appraisal Review Board at an annual cost of $500.
