BOIL WATER NOTICE IN BURLESON COUNTY RESCINDED

The Boil Water Notice that went into effect following last week’s dam washout of a Burleson County road has now been rescinded.

According to the Milano Water Supply Corporation, the washout, which occurred last Friday on County Road 378 north of Caldwell, also caused a break in the water line.

As a result, the Texas Commission on Environment Quality required the Milano Water Supply Corporation to issue a Boil Water Notice on Saturday.

Earlier today (Wednesday), the Commission issued a statement rescinding the order after the Milano WSC sent them lab test results showing that the water had returned to normal, and no longer required boiling first.

If anyone has any questions about the notice or the rescinding of the notice, they can contact Milano Water Supply Corporation Manager Karl Westbrook or Office Manager Shanna Balderas at 512-455-2692.

They can also be e-mailed at water@milanowsc.com.

If you wish to contact the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, call 512-239-4691.
