DOWNTOWN BRENHAM ENJOYS ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL ‘UPTOWN SWIRL’

  

Downtown Brenham’s annual “Uptown Swirl” on Saturday was another big success.

Cool weather greeted crowds as they strolled from shop to shop, trying out various wines at 37 businesses and locations.  Five wineries came in to share samples, and there was a special performance by singer/songwriter Michelle Kay. 

Brenham Main Street Manager Leigh Linden says over 1,000 people attended the winter wine walk.  Approximately 820 tickets were sold, amounting to over $30,000 in sales.

Money raised from the event goes to Main Street Brenham and supports improvement projects downtown.
