BLINN BASEBALL LANDS AT #4 IN NJCAA PRESEASON POLL

After an amazing season last year, the Blinn Buccaneers will open up 2024 ranked #4 in country according to the NJCAA Preseason Poll, which was released Monday afternoon.

The top three in the poll are College of Central Florida, Wabash Valley College, and Weatherford College. The only other Texas teams in the poll are McLennan Community College at #11 and San Jacinto College at #13.

The Bucs are entering their second season under Head Coach Dusty Hart.

Last year, Blinn finished with a record of 46-15. The Bucs captured their first Region XIV South Zone Championship since 2001.

They would also win the Region XIV South Regional and the Super Regional to advance to the NJCAA World Series for the first time since 2014. They went 2-2 at the World Series.

Weather permitting, the Buccaneers are scheduled to open the season this Saturday afternoon at Leroy Dreyer Field in Brenham. They are playing Temple in a doubleheader beginning at 1pm.
