OVER 540 PEOPLE PARTICIPATE IN FIRST DAY OF EARLY VOTING FOR MARCH PRIMARY
The first day of early voting for the March 5th primary election in Washington County had brisk turnout that more than doubled the opening of previous year’s elections.
According to Washington County Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, there were 545 early voting participants on Tuesday, including 495 in the Republican primary and 50 in the Democratic primary.
In comparison, the first day of early voting in the 2022 primary had 257 voters, while the primary in 2020 had 270 voters to start out early voting.
Hours at the Washington County Courthouse Annex for early voting are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today (Wednesday) through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. February 26 – March 1.
