WALLER COUNTY SHERIFF WARNING OF A PHONE SCAM
The Waller County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of a current phone scam that has been brought to their attention.
According to Sheriff Troy Guidry, local residents have been getting calls from people claiming to be courthouse employees, and wanting money for missing a jury summons.
The Sheriff’s Office said a jury summons will only come in the mail, and no county employees will ever request money over the phone.
If you receive a call like this, do not give them any money, or any of your personal information.
