SCHULENBURG FESTIVAL SET FOR AUG. 1-4

  

“The National Party of Texas” returns to Schulenburg next weekend.

The 46th Annual Schulenburg Festival runs Thursday through Sunday, August 1-4 at Wolters Park, bringing live music, rodeo action, parades, cook-offs, pageants, tournaments and games.

Thursday will open with music from Kendra Krupala and ThatDamnBand.  Friday will continue with Keith Hickle, Slade Coulter and Josh Ward.  Saturday will feature The Barditch Hippies, Broken Alibi, Texas Unlimited Band (TUB) and Dos Borrachos – Kevin Fowler and Roger Creager.  The festival closes on Sunday with The Czechaholics and TUB.

Admission is free on Thursday, as well as before 5 p.m. on Saturday and all day Sunday.  Tickets are $20 on Friday and $30 after 5 p.m. Saturday.  Entry is free for children 12 and under.
