CHAPPELL HILL SCARECROW FESTIVAL SET FOR OCT. 12, 13
Washington County’s largest fall festival is coming next weekend.
The 47th Annual Scarecrow Festival will welcome thousands of visitors to Chappell Hill on Saturday and Sunday, October 12th and 13th. Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Over 250 juried exhibitors will sell a variety of goods like home décor, arts and crafts, clothing and jewelry. There will also be country-style food served amid a backdrop of live music, along with children’s activities.
Entertainers on Saturday will include Chicken Live at a Bar, Jimmy Green, Dylan Rhys and Suzanne’s Band. Sunday will follow with Jimmy Green and Scott Grieger.
The festival is organized by the Chappell Hill Historical Society, which works to preserve the Chappell Hill community’s heritage and historic buildings.
Admission to the festival is free. Parking is $10 and is located on FM 1155, just north of its intersection with Highway 290.
