DIXON AND SANDERS NOMINATED FOR 2024 WHATABURGER SUPER TEAM
Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Whataburger are looking to honor the best and brightest of the 2024 Texas High School Football Season.
Out of 4,000 names that were submitted, the list has been narrowed down to 300 finalists for the 2024 Whataburger Super Team.
Making the list for Running Backs is Jakoby Dixon of the Brenham Cubs. This season, Dixon has carried the ball 246 times for 2,249 yards and 32 touchdowns.
He also has 20 catches for 255 yards and two touchdowns. He has even returned a kickoff for another touchdown this season.
Meanwhile, DL D.J. Sanders of the Bellville Brahmas is also on the ballot. Sanders is having another huge season with 66 tackles, 7 sacks, 13 QB hurries, two fumble recoveries, and a blocked punt.
Area players on the ballot are QB Adam Schobel and RB Grayson Rigdon from Columbus, WR Jaquise Martin from Bryan Rudder, and DL Vakapuna Foketi of A&M Consolidated.
