BRAZOS VALLEY GIVES OFFICIALLY RAISES $1.28 MILLION
Official fundraising numbers for the 6th Annual Brazos Valley Gives have been finalized, and this year’s event raised $1,285,814 for area nonprofit organizations.
The total was announced on Wednesday at the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley’s Celebration of Community Philanthropy event in College Station.
Over $47,000 in incentive prizes and grants were also awarded on Wednesday to several participating nonprofits.
The 2024 fundraiser supported 198 nonprofits across the seven-county region of the Brazos Valley, and continues to increase in terms of the number of donors and the organizations that take part in the event each year. The first installment of Brazos Valley Gives raised $363,000.
Brazos Valley Gives Co-Chair Molly Watson says this year’s event “empowered donors across our region to give where they live” and that “our community showed up in a big way.”
