WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD TO REAPPOINT AG ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS
The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors will look to reappoint members to the Agricultural Advisory Board at its meeting on Tuesday.
Members of the advisory board are appointed by the chief appraiser, with the consent of the appraisal district board, to advise the chief appraiser on the valuation and use of agricultural land.
Five members serve on the advisory board on staggered two-year terms, including Blake Eikenhorst, Gil Janner, Mark Klaus, Robert Lehmann and Ray Thaler. The terms of Lehmann and Thaler expire at the end of the year, but Chief Appraiser Dyann White wishes to reappoint them for another two-year term of 2025-26.
The only other action item on Tuesday will be to engage the audit firm of Seidel Schroeder to perform the appraisal district’s annual audit, for an amount not to exceed $12,000. The completed audit is expected to be presented to board members in January.
The board will then go through a list of monthly reports.
The board will meet Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the appraisal district office, 1301 Niebuhr Street in Brenham.
