29TH ANNUAL FOOD FOR FAMILIES FOOD DRIVE WEDNESDAY

The 29th Annual KBTX Food for Families Food Drive is underway today (Wednesday), helping to stop hunger across the Brazos Valley.

Multiple donation sites are open until 7 p.m., accepting non-perishable food and monetary contributions.  Washington County’s drop-off location is the Washington County Expo food court in Brenham.

Donations stay local to the county they are donated in.  Beneficiaries in Washington County are Bread Partners of Washington County, Burton Bridge Ministry, Faith Mission & Help Center, and Prairie Hill Food Pantry.

Recommended donation items include canned meats, canned fruits and vegetables, beans, pasta, cereal, condiments, peanut butter, rice, soups and stews, tomato products and ready-to-eat snacks.

Elsewhere around the area, drop-off sites are the MidSouth Electric Co-op operations facility in Navasota, St. Mary’s Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church parish hall in Caldwell, Brazos Center in Bryan, Pridgeon Community Center in Franklin, First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Hearne and Son-Shine Outreach Center in Madisonville.
